Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special requirements on who can get a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
