When a page on your site doesn't load, an error message will be shown to the website visitor. Since there are different errors, there are different pages which will display, but what is common for all of them is that they are generic and in all probability will have practically nothing that resembles the design of your site, which could be irritating for any website visitor. This is the reason why web hosting service providers have introduced a function known as Custom Error Pages. For a wide variety of different errors, visitors shall see your custom content, which may be informative or amusing, in accordance with your choice, and which shall match the overall design of your site, so the pages shall not appear as if they're not part of your Internet site at all. You could use this option for a variety of errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).
