Multiple OS
Find out which Operating Systems you are able to run on your server.
An Operating System is the fundamental software which controls a computer system. It controls how your hardware behaves, the communication with peripherals including a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between your applications, along with the prioritization of apps in case multiple ones run at once. Any program that's installed on a notebook or a desktop works by sending requests to the OS for various services by using an application program interface (API). The communication with the OS is possible using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the web hosting field, the OS is what controls a hosting server together with any software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition every other application for instance a VOIP or a game server. If there are virtual machines created, they work with a guest OS which runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server plans that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they’re also regarded as the most dependable and safe OSs. We offer three different ones for the reason that each one of them is backed by a different community. The packages that you could add on your server are different and this could matter in case you want to install some piece of software with specific requirements regarding the hosting environment. In this light, the hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the OS that you will choose. You may choose any of the three Operating Systems during the order process, yet if necessary, we can always set up the server once again with an alternative one upon your request. As an additional service that you can add to the package any time, we can update the OS regularly so as to keep it as secure as possible.
